Live from New York City

ThomO'Donnell

a life of adventure

A Haldane boy from Loch Lomond, now living in New York City with Lara. I run festivals, build things, and present a radio show every Wednesday.

Hello, I'm Thom

You may be wondering who I am. I'm a Haldane boy from Alexandria, on the banks of Loch Lomond — Scottish, with Irish roots — and these days Lara and I live in New York City. She's my partner in crime and adventure.

I'm someone who probably isn't that different from you. Maybe a few steps ahead, maybe a few behind, but on the same journey. I like building things, I like people, and I've never been very good at staying in one place.

“I've got an entrepreneurial spirit — early success, critical mistakes, lessons learned, new challenges, true fulfilment — and I keep on learning.”

Places I've called home

A traveller at heart. Tap a place on the map or the dial.

FM 106.4 New York City Home now, with Lara. The show goes out from here.

Still Scottish wherever I am — just with a bigger playground now.

On the radio

Lomond Radio's international presenter, broadcasting from Manhattan.

Wednesdays, 2–4pm UK time on Lomond Radio

Afternoon With Thom

My radio journey started at home in the Vale of Leven with Lennox Hospital Radio, and I was one of the first voices on air back in the River Radio days. The show has followed me ever since, and now it goes out from Manhattan.

Classic and current hits, two hours every Wednesday. Off air, I help keep the station's app and smart-speaker tech running for listeners everywhere.
